Artist · Draughtsman · Sculptor · Photographer · Filmmaker

Tim Nathan is a British multidisciplinary artist based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. His practice spans drawing, sculpture, photography and moving image, with a long-standing interest in movement, landscape, observation and memory.

His early career developed through the international equestrian world. He was Artist in Residence at Flyinge, the Swedish National Stud, in 1992 and 1993, exhibited twice at Flyinge, and later showed work at the European Dressage Championships, Hickstead, Godmersham Park, The Groucho Club, Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, Gallery Oldham and Galleri Rebecca Kormind, Copenhagen.

His equestrian drawings, bronzes, paintings and etchings are held in private collections internationally, including those of Kyra Kyrklund, Wayne Channon, Emile Faurie, Henri Rouste and Patty Mayer.

More recent work has focused increasingly on landscape, photography and the sea. In 2021 he exhibited Flip the Script at Lucy Bell Gallery, St Leonards, followed by Flip the Script: Tim Nathan & Good Governance Institute at Bermondsey Project Space, London.

Nathan studied at Canterbury College of Art and taught drawing and art for more than ten years.
